Bosnian Government finally cancel permission for Angelina Jolie who will do the shooting scenes for his latest film in the Balkan country. The plan, making the scene will be carried out in November. Jolie’s acting as a producer and director had previously been taking pictures in Budapest, Hungary.
Bosnian Government has received input from women activists about the scenario film is set during the Bosnian war in Bosnia and Serbia in 1992 to 1995.
As is known, the film tells about the love story between Bosnian women and Serbian men. An irony in which both countries are engaged in war. Approximately 100,000 residents were massacred in the Bosnian war.
Jolie says his film will not be grazed on political issues, but only highlight the human side. Jolie also argue Bosnian women highlighted in the film more as victims of war.
The reason it is precisely criticized by Bosnia women’s activist, Bakira Hasecic in Bosnia Oslobodjenje daily.
“In this film, a victim would fall in love with a man who actually tortured her,” Bakira said who is also President of the Association of Women Victims of War, quoted by Reuters on Friday (15/10/2010).
Bakira also argues, based on the contents of the scenario that she may know, the film can obscure the fact that actually happened in the Bosnian female camps of the war prisoners.
Minister of Culture and Sport of Bosnia-Croatia Gavrilo Grahovac has issued a cancellation of the permit.
“Demand for filming permit is not accompanied byt scenario tex is not in accordance with the law. Gavrilo Grahovac decided to cancel the permit,” the ministry statement.
